Main drains

Main drains are intended for the collection of the lower layer of the pool water to the filtration and the draining of a swimming pool. The recommended flow of the circulated water is 70 – 75 % through the skimmer(s) and correspondingly 25 – 30 % through the main drain(s). According to EN regulations the water speed should not exceed 0.5 m/s at the intake and the design of the piping should avoid the vacuum effect.
